O. Henry
O.Henry is a writer widely know for the short stories he has written , the specialty in his stories is the way they end (they are really unexpected). The thrill that one experiences while readings his stories makes him my choice for this selection. His most popular stories are The Pendulum, the Last leaf ‘The Ransom of Red Chief', The Trimmed Lamp, and many others. Besides this, O.Henry Also has a good sense of humor which is quite difficult to find in today’s authors. Therefore I have chosen O.Henry for my selection. O. Henry's stories, I was informed by the adverse critics, are not stories at all, but for the most part mere "anecdotes" (such is the fatal word that has been found) dependent on some purely literary trick of surprise or enigma--some meretricious art of ending a story with a juggler's coup de main --the simplest thing in the world to do, for those who care to stop to it.
